Hey guys! 🙂 My name is Chris. I’m a 44 y/o guy from Germany. I have been working in IT all my life. In my childhood in the 90s, my dad bought our first computer. Every time dad was not at home, I used the opportunity to occupy myself with this computer. Therefore, no one is surprised that the “thing” miraculously stopped working afterwards. And it’s also not surprising that the “thing” had me under its spell. My Dad always had to call one his colleagues to repair the computer. Sorry for that dad … 😉
After finishing school I started a professional training as something what’s called “IT-Systemkaufmann” here in Germany. These guys often work as sales specialists afterwards. But I was more interested in the tech things of IT. For that reason, all jobs I did in the past had a technical background.
In the last twenty years I worked in all sectors of IT infrastructure. User helpdesk, client management, server administration with all common products like Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows and Windows Server, mobile device management …
Today my focus is to plan, deploy and configure IT infrastructure projects with VMware vSphere including vSAN, DataCore SANsymphony, properietary storages like PureStorage FlashArray X, Lenovo DE/DM-Series and the wide range of Veeam products.
